SummaryA litigator and associate in the firm’s New York office, Vito John Marzano brings meticulous preparation and a passion for advocacy to his representation of insurers in general liability, premises liability, labor law, and automobile accident matters.

Overview

Success as a litigator is not just a factor of talent and skill; it also requires a passion for advocacy and a commitment to obtaining the best possible result in every case. Vito John Marzano brings all of those qualities to the table as a trial attorney representing insurers in general liability, premises liability, labor law, and automobile accident matters.

An associate in the firm’s New York office, Vito believes that meticulous preparation and a complete, holistic understanding of the facts and law are the foundations of well-reasoned and persuasive arguments. Before joining the firm, he served a term as an Appellate Court Attorney for the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department.  In this role, Vito authored confidential memoranda for the Justices regarding appeals pending before the Court with dispositional recommendations and edited proposed decisions for substantive accuracy, clarity, and stylistic precision.

Vito graduated, cum laude, from CUNY Hunter College before earning his law degree, magna cum laude, from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University where he completed its accelerated degree program. While in law school, Vito externed for a semester in the Chambers of the Honorable Lois Bloom, United States Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of New York and was a research assistant for two professors.  He also served as President of the Lambda Law Society and Executive Productions Editor for the Pace International Law Review, in which his student submission, Oliari and the European Court of Human Rights: Where the Court Failed, was published in 2017

An active member of the LGBT Bar Association of Greater New York (“LeGaL”), Vito contributes to its monthly publication, LGBT Law Notes, covering international and domestic legal developments concerning the LGBTQ+ community.
