Jessica’s practice primarily focuses on insurance defense, insurance coverage, and excess monitoring. In her role as defense counsel, she routinely represents insureds in a wide range of liability disputes, including personal injury, trucking accidents, medical malpractice, legal malpractice and general commercial disputes in all stages of litigation. Jessica‚Äôs insurance defense work includes investigating and defending against the claims made against her clients by handling all phases of litigation, including responding to complaints, drafting and answering discovery, and engaging in motion practice.

Jessica also represents insurance carriers by providing coverage advice on a wide range of issues involving commercial general liability policies, commercial property policies, commercial auto policies, professional liability policies, umbrella/excess policies, and insurer bad faith claims. Her coverage experience includes policy interpretation, bad faith and extra-contractual liability issues, and handling all stages of litigation of declaratory judgment actions in state and federal courts. Jessica also acts as trial monitoring counsel for excess insurers in high-exposure cases.

Prior to joining the firm, Jessica served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Kathleen Pantle in the Circuit Court of Cook County, General Chancery Division. During law school Jessica was an Executive Lead Articles Editor on the John Marshall Law Review, and served as a Research Assistant for Ralph Ruebner, Associate Dean of The John Marshall Law School. In this capacity she provided research for the Illinois Supreme Court Special Committee on Illinois Evidence, which codified the first set of Illinois Rules of Evidence.
