Curriculum Vitae

Copernicus Gaza concentrates his practice in all aspects of insurance coverage counseling and litigation, representing industry clients in the areas of general liability, products liability, professional liability, directors and officers liability (public, private and non-profit) and employment practices liability coverage.  His practice includes providing legal opinions with respect to the duties to defend and indemnify, claims handling advice and recommendations, coverage litigation, excess monitoring and insurance policy drafting.  He has litigated through appeal several declaratory judgment actions nationwide.

Mr. Gaza received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Rutgers University in 1990. He received his J.D. Degree from New York Law School in 1995 where he served as Chief Articles Editor of the New York Law School Journal of Human Rights. He is the author of Getting Inside the Jury’s Head: Media Access to Jurors After the Trial, 12 N.Y.L. SCH. J. HUM. RTS. 311 (1995).
