Traub Lieberman Founding Partner Richard K. Traub Presenting At the 7th AIDA Europe Conference

Traub Lieberman Straus & Shrewsberry LLP founding partner Richard K. Traub to present at the upcoming 7th Association Internationale de Droit des Assurances (AIDA) Europe Conference being held at the Sofitel Warsaw Victoria, Warsaw, Poland, April 12 & 13, 2018. The theme for this year’s conference is “De-Mystifying InsurTech: a Legal and Regulatory View.” Mr. Traub will be presenting on two topics at this year’s conference. The first presentation, “Impact of Technology on Insurance, Flood Predictability, and Pricing,” focuses on the impact of technology on international flood loss coverage and pricing by re/insurers. The second presentation, “Weiselgate and Post Apocalyptic US,” focuses on the impact of the fraudulent manipulation of emissions testing on Volkswagen vehicles in the United States. 

Mr. Traub practices in the firm’s insurance coverage, construction litigation, litigation management, and cyber and technology areas. He has represented numerous design professionals and contractors in all phases of construction projects; insurers and reinsurers in connection with coverage litigation; and has been extensively involved with data breach, technology, privacy issues and disaster management. Mr. Traub has published a number of articles, books and papers dealing with environmental forensics, technology, and e-commerce liabilities; and construction defect litigation. He is currently on the Presidential Council of the Association Internationale de Droit des Assurances (AIDA), a member of its Climate Change and Reinsurance Working Parties.

AIDA is a non-profit international association, formed for the purpose of promoting and developing at an international level, a collaboration between its members with a view to increasing the study and knowledge of international and national insurance law and related matters. It is AIDA’s aim to propose measures with a view to the insurance industry adopting them at a national and international level, leading to harmonization of insurance law or means for resolution of insurance disputes.
