Collections Coordinator | St. Petersburg, Florida

The Collections Coordinator is responsible for follow-up communication to clients regarding outstanding aged receivables. This position routinely will be required to create tables and spreadsheets in response to requests for information regarding outstanding amounts to both internal and external sources.

Essential Functions:

  • Compose communication to clients regarding the status past due payments
  • Research and follow-up of unallocated cash receipts
  • Access and process information from various electronic site regarding invoice status
  • Maintain collections database with current invoice status notes
  • Monitor and respond to internal and external A/R inquires
  • Research billing and payment history to determine payment status from clients
  • Run various reports, to include account statements, aging reports, and payment histories
  • Provide accounts payable staff with information regarding refunds
  • Work with billing staff to clear-up or prevent billing and payment errors
  • Backup to cash receipts
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by CFO

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • At least one year of service in a professional services firm
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both in writing and orally
  • Top-notch organization skills with the ability to manage competing demands and priorities
  • Strong work ethnic, can-do attitude, with a customer service focus
  • Exercise confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive data, information, and situations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience with Juris/Juris Suite a plus
